Pima County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a fatal shooting in a small town 38 miles from Tucson.
Deputy Courtney Rodriguez said deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 15000 Block of South Lovell Road in Mescal.

When deputies arrived, they discovered 25-year-old Thomas Nordseth with a gunshot wound and 89-year-old Robert Loaisiga at the home without injuries, said Rodriguez.
Nordseth was transported to a local trauma center, where he died as a result of his injuries.
Rodriguez says that it is unknown what the circumstances were that lead to the shooting and deputies are still investigating.
