TUCSON, Ariz. - One person died in a Friday shooting northwest side of town.
According to Pima County Sheriff's deputy Daniel Jelineo, someone died in the 8000 block of North Country Home Lane near Cortaro Road and Interstate 10.
PCSD say "17-year-old Luis Angel Lopez Jr. sustained a fatal injury as the result of a gunshot wound which appears to have been accidental."
Lopez Jr. was apparently shot by accident with an AK-47 round.
Pima Regional Bomb Squad also removed a suspected explosive device from inside the home.
Officials say the device removed was determined to be a pipe bomb.
Other weapons were removed from the home as well
PCSD says they are no longer a threat.
PCSD says the investigation involving explosives and dangerous weapons were turned over to Federal law partners.
The investigation is still ongoing.
