TUCSON, Ariz. - Pima County Sheriff's deputies arrested two people Dec. 12 with a stolen van, drugs and fake IDs.
According to the department, the investigation started Dec. 12 with the reported theft of a 2000 Chevrolet Express van from a home in the 4200 block of North Pocito Place. The van had last been seen at 4 p.m. Dec. 11.
At 5:30 p.m. Dec. 16, deputies found the van near the 4900 block of North Matthews Ave. They found 16 pounds of meth and fraudulent IDs in the van.
They pulled the vehicle over and arrested 27-year-old Matthew Whitwell on possession of dangerous drugs, as well as 46-year-old Autumn Mendivil for false reporting to law enforcement and aggravated identity theft.
