The work is clearing the way for a new indoor sports arena. The multi-use facility will be used for football and other sports and could serve as an additional game day venue.
Jerry Kindall Field at Frank Sancet Stadium served as the home of Arizona Baseball from 1967 to 2011. It was originally named Wildcat Field. However, the park's name was changed to Frank Sancet Field during Arizona's 1986 National Championship Season.
