A deadly wreck that shut down eastbound Interstate 10 between Tangerine and Avra Valley Thursday has been cleared.
According to Northwest Fire, a semi-truck driven by 36-year-old Christopher Little headed eastbound on I-10 hit a 62-year-old on the freeway at 2:45 a.m.
The 62-year-old was on foot and ran out in front of the semi-truck.
The driver tried to avoid the collision but could not and remained on scene and cooperated with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, which is investigating.
The freeway was closed for more than three hours.
I-10 eastbound has just reopened near #Tucson at Tangerine Road. It'll take a bit for the delay to clear.
