City crews are spraying bridges Tuesday to prevent slippage during icy conditions.

Officials initiated Operation Freeze, which calls for crews to place "Wet Road Ahead" signs at bridge entrances and spray magnesium chloride on the bridges.

Workers will spray 58 city bridge decks.

Motorists should expect possible delays at bridge crossings while the crews are working.

Officials say magnesium chloride sprays last 10 days and do not contaminate drinking water or vegetation.
