Tucson Fire crews put out a southside house fire late Tuedsay night.
Nine crews, including 23 firefighters, arrived at the 5100 block of South 11th Avenue at 11:49 p.m. and had the blaze, which fully engulfed the home, under control within 15 minutes. The blaze was so large that crews needed to shift to a larger than standard fire hose to extinguish the flames.
A 50-year-old man, a 47-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman who lived at the home were forced to evacuate. A fourth person, a man temporarily staying at the home, was the first to spot the fire and wake the others. No one was injured and the cause is under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting the victims.
