Northwest Fire crews put out a mobile home fire on the northwest side Wednesday.
Trina Motto of Northwest Fire said the blaze is in the block of 2700 W. Carnauba. The homeowner, an adult male, was asleep inside the house at the time of the fire.
He was able to escape safely after he was alerted about the fire from smoke alarms and a passerby who knocked on the resident's door until he was out safely.
The house sustained significant fire and smoke damage.
No injuries have been reported and the cause is under investigation.
