Crews battle Frye Fire near Safford

The Frye Fire burning seven miles southwest of Safford has grown to 792 acres at 14 percent containment.

According to the Coronado National Forest Service, the fire began on June 7 and was caused by lightning. There are currently 10 firefighters assigned, with 11 engines, six crews, four helicopters, two dozers and miscellaneous overhead support.
