Cody Clark was sentenced to life in prison Monday for the 2015 murder of his friend, Austin Gann.
Clark had been found guilty of first-degree murder in Pima County Superior Court back in December.
Court officials say Clark will serve 25 years before he is eligible for release. He has 686 days of credit for his sentence.
In March of 2015, Clark was found acting erratically in a backyard.
That same morning, Gann was found shot to death.
In an interview with Marana police, Clark admitted to punching Gann and firing two rounds before running away.
