Cochise County deputies arrested four people in a mail theft ring bust.

Deputies say they got a break in the case Thursday, when someone reported a green Toyota stop at a mailbox by Ash Creek School in Apache, where a woman got out of the truck to swipe mail from the mailbox before driving away and throwing the mail out the window.

Deputies stopped the truck and found mail inside, then traced it to a Sunizona home, where they found more stolen mail, checks and credit cards.

The four people arrested -- Hope Killmer, 17; Dennis Killmer, 53; Loretta Killmer, 50 and Keith Smothers, 22 -- face a total of 108 felonies. They allegedly stole mail from between 25 and 50 people.

They were booked into Cochise County Jail.
