U.S. Marshals arrested a Cochise County murder suspect in Florida.
Stephen Smith, who is accused of first degree murder, aggravated assault causing physical injury, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, endangerment, disorderly conduct with a weapon and possession of a firearm by a prohibited possessor, was arrested Tuesday in Gainesville, Fla.
Authorities say Smith killed a 55-year-old woman in Hereford by shooting her in the abdomen Feb. 25. He fled to Florida, where the Marshals tracked him down.
