A gray fox has tested positive for rabies in Cochise County.
According to the Cochise County Sheriff's office, the fox was found near Portal.
Other animals in the area are scheduled to be expected this week.
Officials say that a worsening drought is expected to increase human and wildlife interaction, as well as possibly increase the amount of rabies cases in the area.
