Firenze Boutiques, which has sold men's and women's clothes for 40 years, will close after it sells off inventory, owner Cyrus Parsa announced.

The store is located at 2840 E. Skyline Drive, Suite 120. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday until its goods are liquidated. The retailer, which sold high-end clothing such as Armani, has been at its current location for 10 years.

Parsa cited competition from the internet and changing needs of customers, as well as SB1070, for declining sales.

"Forty years is enough. It was a great run. I'm really happy. I have nothing negative to look at in the future," Parsa said in a statement. "I have made so many, many good friends over the years through the business and I will be staying in touch with them."
