TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) -- Chick-fil-a is now open on the eastside.
The restaurant is located at 6675 E. Grant Road, and is one of four in the Tucson metro area. More than 100 people camped overnight to win free food for a year.
The first 100 adults in line were eligible when doors opened at 6 a.m. They each received a card with 52 meals for the next year.
The new location is expected to bring 85 new jobs to the area. The chain will also be holding a book drive for La Paloma Academy, and you can drop donations off at the restaurant.
The first Chick-fil-a opened in Tucson in 1996 inside the Tucson mall.
