TUCSON, Ariz. - A group is doing its part to help homeless people get relief from the elements.

After a year of renovations, the H.S. Lopez Family Foundation Center of Opportunity is getting ready to open a new facility.

The facility, at 4550 S. Palo Verde Road, has 350 beds available, and can provide as many as 1,000 meals a day.

Gov. Doug Ducey is planned to preside over a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

An open house is scheduled at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
