DOUGLAS, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested two people in Douglas and seized 327 pounds of marijuana in separate recent incidents.
According to the CBP, officers arrested 19-year-old Agua Prieta, Son. resident Adilene Yudith Ruiz after finding 266 pounds of marijuana hidden in her sedan Saturday.
On Friday, officers arrested 31-year-old Agua Prieta, Son. resident Diego David Garcia-Estrada after finding 62 pounds of marijuana hidden in his sedan.
Officers seized all drugs and vehicles, and turned both suspects over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
Also, in Naco, Ariz. Friday, officers arrested 65-year-old Cananea, Son. resident Victor Manuel Avechuco-Quiligua after finding 77 pounds of marijuana hidden in his truck.
