In a pair of separate incidents, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized 48 pounds of meth and 10 pounds of heroin at the DeConcini crossing in Nogales.
In the heroin seizure, officers arrested a 37-year-old man who allegedly hid the drugs in his Dodge truck Wednesday.
On Thursday, officers arrested a 20-year-old man who allegedly hid the meth in his Dodge truck.
Officers seized the drugs and vehicles, and turned over both suspects to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
