CBP seizes cocaine, meth in Nogales

In separate incidents, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested four Mexican men accused of smuggling cocaine and meth through the Dennis DeConcini crossing in Nogales, Son.

Here is a roundup of the incidents, according to the CBP:

* On July 28, officers arrested a 51-year-old permanent Phoenix resident after finding 32 pounds of meth inside his vehicle's gas tank.

* On July 29, officers arrested a 30-year-old Nogales, Son. resident after finding 39 pounds of cocaine hidden in his Volkswagen SUV.

* Also July 29, officers found 48 pounds of cocaine hidden in an SUV driven by a 26-year-old Nogales, Son. resident's vehicle, as well as 13 pounds of cocaine in a GMC SUV driven by a 28-year-old Hermosilla, Son. resident.

Officers turned over the suspects to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
