U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested the driver of a car with two Mexican nationals locked in the trunk of a car.
On Dec. 1, the agents were working an immigration checkpoint at I-19 north of Tubac.
The driver was a U.S. citizen from Mesa who was arrested in connection with smuggling charges. The men in the trunk will be processed for removal.
