U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers found two Mexican nationals -- a man and a teen -- locked in a car at the border near Amado Monday.
According to the CBP, the people in the trunk had no knowledge of how to escape in case of an emergency.
The driver will be prosecuted for smuggling, while the Mexican nationals are facing removal proceedings.
