U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers confiscated $54,000 in cash they found hidden inside frozen tortilla dough.
According to the CBP, a 54-year-old Mexican man had the dough in the back of his Honda van when he tried to cross the border at San Luis.
Officers seized the money and dough and turned the suspect overto U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
