In separate incidents, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized 156 pounds of meth, heroin and cocaine they allegedly found hidden inside a Jeep Oct. 26.
According to the CBP, a 22-year-old man from Nogales, Son. hid 14 pounds of cocaine, 5 pounds of heroin and 9 pounds of meth in his Jeep SUV.
In a different incident, officers found 128 pounds of meth hidden inside metal boxes built into tires of a truck driven by a 36-year-old woman from Lynwood, Calif.
Officers seized the drugs and vehicles, and turned the suspects over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
