TUCSON, Ariz. - Caregiver Mona Rodriguez was sentenced to 30 months in prison after being convicted of defrauding a 92-year-old woman.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Rodriguez accessed the the woman's bank accounts and used her credit cards. She also created a new credit card account in the woman's name, without her consent.
Rodriguez pleaded guilty to wire fraud and was sentenced to 30 months in prison Aug. 14..
Rodriguez was also ordered to pay $171,631 to the victim.
