Caregiver indicted for kidnapping of patient

A caregiver was indicted on charges of kidnapping one of her patients.

According to Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, Christy A. Randolph faces charges of kidnapping, theft and vulnerable adult abuse charges.

On July 20, Randolph allegedly kidnapped a vulnerable 68-year-old man who requires assistance with daily needs. He had last been seen attending church the previous night.

Randolph also allegedly stole more than $10,000 from the man while working as his caregiver. She also moved him to Florida without permission.

U.S. Marshals arrested Randolph in Deltona, Fla. on July 27. The victim is staying with a relative until his legal guardian can arrange to bring him back to Tucson.
