A Brigham Young University football player has been arrested for violating a stalking order.

BYU athletics spokesman Brett Pyne says Josh Weeks has been suspended from team activities following his arrest this week.

Utah County Jail online records show that Weeks was released on bail Tuesday.

According to court documents, an Orem woman took out a stalking injunction against the BYU sophomore March 4. Another woman also filed a protective order against him last month.

Violating a stalking injunction is a misdemeanor for first-time offenders under Utah law.

Weeks, of Show Low, Arizona, plays tight end and also served an LDS mission in Washington state.

A university spokeswoman says he is still enrolled but officials are reviewing the situation.

It was not known Saturday if Weeks had an attorney.
