BP agents arrest sex crime convict

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a man who had been convicted of a sex crime and snuck back into the country after deportation.

According to the agency, Ajo Station agents arrested 29-year-old Alex Luna-Hernandez Wednesday near Why.

Luna-Hernandez was convicted of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 in 2015 in Santa Barabara, Calif. He was also convicted of second degree assault with intent to cause physical injury in Kings County, NY last year.

Luna-Hernandez is in federal custody and will face criminal immigration violations.
