U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested four U.S. citizens and a permanent resident card holder on human smuggling charges.

On Friday, agents at a Tombstone checkpoint arrested two 20-year-old Phoenix women in a Honda Civic after finding a 23-year-old Mexican man hiding in her trunk.
On Sunday, agents at the same checkpoint arrested two 19-year-old Phoenix men in a Honda Accord after finding a 25-year-old Mexican man inside.
Also on Sunday, agents at the State Route 85 checkpoint near Ajo arrested a 50-year-old, permanent resident card-holding woman after discovering her passenger -- a 59-year-old man -- was an illegal immigrant.
