In a pair of separate incidents, U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested suspects they say tried to traffic immigrants in their vehicle trunks.

According to the Border Patrol. Nogales Station agents tried to refer the driver of a Pontiac sedan for a secondary inspection April 16, but the driver sped off. Agents stopped the vehicle, then found a Guatemalan juvenile locked in the trunk.

On April 18 in Douglas, agents stopped a Buick Le Sabre and found three people hiding under a blanket in the back seat. The passengers, as well as three other people who were locked in the trunk, were found to be illegal immigrants.

None of the immigrants were injured.
