Six people died in a wreck caused by blowing dust on Interstate 10 near the New Mexico border Tuesday. The wreck closed the road for several hours Monday night and Tuesday morning.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, I-10 is closed for about 60 miles, with eastbound traffic stopped at milepost 352, just east of Willcox. According to trooper Kameron Lee of the Arizona Department of Public Safety, six people died in the wreck.
DPS is assisting in the incident, with New Mexico state police taking the lead.
Westbound traffic was stopped at Lordsburg, New Mexico. The road reopened early Tuesday.
