The state House of Representatives passed a bill that would provide $2.5 million in funding for the January 8th Memorial in El Presidio Park.
The bill passed with the stipulation that state funding must be matched, and federal legislation must pass to designate the memorial as a National Memorial.
The bill moves on to the Arizona Senate next week.
