TUCSON, Ariz. - A suspect ended a two-hour standoff with Tucson police by surrendering Thursday afternoon.
According to officer Chris Hawkins, officers responded to a report of a man stripping parts from a car in the 700 block of East Navajo at 10 a.m.
After officers arrived, the man hid inside a home where he didn't live. The residents escaped without harm.
After two hours of negotiations, the man surrendered peacefully to police and was taken into custody shortly after noon.
Detectives continue to investigate the incident.
