Author Harper Lee, who gained fame with "To Kill a Mockingbird," died Friday at age 89.
According to AL.com, Lee died in her hometown of Monroeville, Ala.
Lee published "Mockingbird" in 1960. Her sequel, "Go Set a Watchmen," was published last year.
