Arizona Baseball defeated Louisiana-Lafayette, 6-3, to set up a winner take all game this evening for the right to advance to the NCAA Super Regional.
Nathan Bannister pitched seven plus innings on just two days rest to earn his 11th win of the season. He threw seven shutout innings in Friday's win over Sam Houston State.
The Cats got Bannister run support when Ryan Aguilar doubled in two runs in the bottom of the first inning.
Kevin Ginkel came in during the 8th inning recorded the save.
Arizona needs a second win today because the Wildcats are coming out of the loser's bracket.
The winner of this evening's game will visit Mississippi State in the NCAA Super Regionals.
