Revelers to honor the dead in All Sould Procession

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The All Souls Procession will hold its 28th edition Sunday, drawing thousands of revelers to pay tribute to the dead.

The parade, which starts at 6 p.m. Sunday, is part of daylong festivities at Barrio Hollywood and the Menlo Park Neighborhood. The mile-long route runs parallel to the Santa Cruz River, starting off on Grande Ave. south of Speedway, turning left on St. Mary's, right Bonita Ave. before going around the Garden of Gethsemane and heading to Mercado San Agustin. Participants then follow the Riverwalk south of Congress Street, then take stairs up Cushing Street to turn right on Congress.

Street closures from 3 to 10 p.m. include:

  • Grande Avenue, between Speedway Boulevard and St. Mary's Road.
  • St. Mary's Road, between Grande Avenue and the Frontage Road.
  • Bonita Avenue, between St. Mary's Road and Congress Street.
  • Congress Street, between the Frontage Road and Grande Avenue.
