The US Air Force is extending time for the public to comment about the possibility of basing the F-35 fighter jet at Davis Monthan Air Force Base.

The Air Force says the extra time is being given because they previously published an incorrect address for comments submitted through the mail.

Keep in mind, the Air Force says its number one pick so far, is the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Forth Worth, Texas. However, DM and two other locations will continue to be studied along with the base in Fort Worth for their environmental suitability for an F-35 Squadron.

The environmental impact study is expected to be complete by December 2018.
