Cochise County Sheriff's deputies shut down State Route 80 east of the tunnel in Bisbee Thursday due to a car accident.
Deputies say the accident happened at 11:30 a.m. near Old Divide Road. A woman dove her vehicle over a steep embankment, and she is trapped in the wreckage.
The Bisbee Police Department, Bisbee Fire Department, Fort Huachuca Fire Department, Douglas Fire Department, and Fry Fire Department, and Sierra Vista Fire Department responded to the scene. There is no estimated time for the road to reopen.
