A woman was convicted of stealing from her 92-year-old driver.
According to a news release from Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, Marisela Navarro was found guilty of 11 felony counts, including one count of fraudulent schemes and artifices, two counts of theft and eight counts of forgery.
In March 2011, Navarro started driving the victim to appointments and on errands. The victim's children learned that Navarro maxed out the victim's $6,000 overdraft credit line and wrote checks to herself from the victim's account.
The victim died a few months after learning Navarro stole from her. Navarro faces a minimum of three years and a maximum of 60 years in prison. She will be sentenced April 4.
