Are you the Arizonan who has more than $500,000 just waiting to be claimed?
The Arizona Department of Revenue says they are looking for that person with a last known address in Goodyear!
In fact, the department's Ed Greenberg says they are holding more than $1.5 billion in unclaimed money for Arizonans right now!
Forgotten safe deposit box belongings, old checks and bank accounts are eventually turned over to the state, and the proceeds are held for owners to claim.
The Department of Revenue gave us the names of five Arizonans who DO have unclaimed property waiting.
Here are the names and their last known residence:
- Enid Smith, Phoenix
- Josephine Mason, Phoenix
- Jimmie Cortham, Phoenix
- Mary Floyd, Phoenix
- Martha B Clifford, Scottsdale
If they have passed, family members can go through the verification process and make a claim.
Check to see if you have unclaimed property or money waiting.
