TUCSON, Ariz. - A threat sparked an evacuation at Old Vail Middle School Thursday.
According to a message sent to parents, students were not in immediate danger and were evacuated as a precaution.
Parents were asked not to pick their students up from school.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department tells KGUN9 that their department has responded and is investigating. At this time, they do not believe there is any danger.
The communications director for the district says students have since gone back into their classrooms.
The school is located at 13299 E. Colossal Cave Road.
