TUCSON, Ariz. — A free COVID-19 testing site will open Nov. 20 at Tucson International Airport.
Testing will go from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Friday through Monday. Patients can schedule appointments through QR codes at the terminal.
“Having this service available to travelers coming in to our community will allow them to make smart decisions about their plans after they arrive,” said Pima County Health Department Director Dr. Theresa Cullen, in a statement. “While people should not travel while they are sick, this site will provide early results for those coming into our community who may have symptoms or may be worried about their exposure to others.”
Paradigm Laboratories will conduct the testing and provide results to customers in 72 hours or less.
“We are happy to announce this partnership, which will allow free testing to all travelers and employees at the Tucson International Airport,” said TAA President and CEO Danette Bewley, in a statement. “Whether you are arriving or departing from TUS, you will have the opportunity to get tested to help protect loved ones especially as we approach the holiday season.”
Patients being tested will be blocked by dividers.
