UPDATE 1:19 p.m., 10/08:

According to a social media post from Tucson Fire, crews responded to the 1700 block of South 29th Place at just after 9:50 p.m.

Upon arrival, they encountered "a heavy fire load and went into defensive operation." A second alarm was called.

Crews were hampered by broken natural gas lines and a partial roof collapse, the post said. The fire was under control by 11:29 p.m.

No one was inside the home. One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
