Where to get free food and entertainment for educators this week!

Last week's teacher walkout showed how much our communities really depend on teachers.

And the timing is perfect because this week is National Teacher Appreciation week. Our Smart Shopper found lots of places celebrating with freebies and discounts.

Chick-fil-A is offering all educators a free Original Chick-fil-A sandwich on Tuesday.

It's available from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. to educators with a school ID.

Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa has a freebie too, but this one is only for teachers. Show your ID through Friday and get a voucher for a free pizza, any size and any toppings. It's dine-in only but you can use the voucher at any time.

At Chipotle,teachers, faculty and staff can get a BOGO deal on their burritos, bowls, salads or tacos. This deal is only for Tuesday.

Uptown Alley, the bowling alley and laser tag venue in Surprise, is celebrating the entire week. Monday, May 7 – Friday, May 11, any school district employee will receive 50 percent off bowling and games and 20 percent off food and soft drinks. School district employees must show a valid school ID.

Peter Piper Pizza is offering teachers a free 7-inch, one-topping pizza. It’s only valid Monday, May 7th and all you have to do is show your teacher badge when you’re ordering.

From Sunday, May 6, to Saturday, May 12, Sauceis giving teachers who dine in 15 percent off their order at any of their locations (excluding Sky Harbor)! To receive the offer, educators just need to mention the offer and show their school ID to enjoy their perk!

At Harkins, educators can see any movie, all day Tuesday, May 8, for only $5 and receive a FREE small popcorn at all Harkins locations! Films include all new releases and 3D format films. Educators must show a valid school ID with ticket purchase.

Teachers can visit the Treasures for Teachers Thrift store on Tuesday, show your school ID and receive 25 percent off your purchase.
