Former Congressman Ed Pastor will lie in State Capitol on Sunday

Former U.S. Congressman Ed Pastor will be laid to rest in the Capitol of Arizona on Sunday, Dec. 2.

The public is invited to pay respects to Pastor's life and service from 2-5 p.m. inside the Rotunda at 1700 W. Washington St., Phoenix.

Public viewing will end exactly at five, but additional events will be held to pay respects to Pastor on Thursday and Friday of next week.

On Thursday, from 6-7 p.m., a viewing will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Ave, followed by a rosary.

On Friday, at 2 p.m., a mass will be held at the same church, with a burial following the service at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix.

Pastor passed away on Nov. 27, 2018. He was 75.

Pastor's family has asked for donations to made to the Ed Pastor Memorial Fund, hosted by the Arizona Community Foundation at 2201 E. Camelback Road, #405B, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
