Jeopardy contestant Michael Pascuzzi might not be returning tomorrow to increase his winnings, but he did go home with a great prize: a fiancée.
While chatting with host Alex Trebek during the contestant introduction portion of the show, Pascuzzi told the in-studio audience, "I just wanted to say one quick thing, and ask Maria Shafer right there. If she would make me a winner today and marry me.
"Will you marry me?"
The cameras zoomed right in on Shafer, who replied, "Yes of course!" and then corrected herself using the show's answer format, saying, "That would be… what is yes?"
Whether or not in on the proposal, Trebek joked, "I was about to say we'll have the answer to that question right after this commercial break."
