Here are this week's hottest home video releases. Find them on disc, or streaming services such as iTunes, Vudu, Amazon and Google Play.
ANNA
Acclaimed writer-director Luc Besson sticks to the brand he established in "Leon: The Professional," "The Fifth Element" and "Lucy," crafting a stylish, female-focused action flick. Sasha Luss plays the title role, a beautiful government assassin who becomes the target of forces she trusted, forcing her to go rogue and expose those behind a sinister plot. Luke Evans, Cillian Murphy and Helen Mirren make up a strong supporting cast. Extras include a car chase breakdown, as well as featurettes on the costumes and fight scenes.
SHAFT (2019)
Nineteen years after last playing the role of the smooth, crafty detective in a movie with the same title, Samuel L. Jackson is back in the role that pairs so pefectly with his persona. The big draw this time out is the roundup of three generations of the Shaft family. Richard Roundtree, the O.G. Shaft, reprises his role, and Jessie T. Usher plays the Jackson character's son. All three team up for a kinetic thrill ride as the trio investigates an underworld plagued by heroin deals and power-hungry thugs. Extras include deleted scenes, a gag reel and a three-part documentary on the Shaft legacy.
YESTERDAY
With a knockout soundtrack, a heartfelt romance and superb performances, "Yesterday" is one of the most charming films of the year, and could well become a timeless classic. Himesh Patel plays a struggling musician who inexplicably wakes up in a world in which the Beatles never existed. He faces the moral dilemma of whether or not he should record and release the music that only he remembers, riding the wave to instant fame. Lily James, Kate McKinnon and Ed Sheeran round out the cast of the Danny Boyle-directed film. For my full review, click here. Extras include 12 deleted scenes, a gag reel, Boyle's commentary, a featurette on Sheeran and live performances at Abey Road Studios.
