Tucson police have arrested the suspect of a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian collision that happened Wednesday morning at a bus stop near E. Pima St. and N. Alvernon Way.
The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Ruben Aulbert Lemon, according to TPD. He was booked into Pima County Jail on one count of hit and run involving death.
A man and woman were struck while sitting at the bus stop by a truck Lemon drove.
Tucson police say the man, 67-year-old Leonard Green, was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital, and the woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to a Tucson Police Department media release, the vehicle was a gray 2011 Nissan Titan and driver immediately fled the scene on foot after the accident.
