TUCSON, Ariz. - Rural Metro Fire crews put out a garage fire Sunday night in the foothills.
According to the department, firefighters responded to a house near Houghton Road and Catalina Highway and found smoke coming from a garage at about 11:30 p.m.
Crews had the blaze under control within 15 minutes.
The homeowner said he woke up to popping sounds and found the garage on fire. He escaped the blaze.
The main house was not damaged. The cause is under investigation.
