Winter Weather Advisory in effect through midnight

TUCSON, Ariz. - Grab the umbrella before you leave the house.

Showers, thunderstorms, and mountain snow will increase from the west to the east today throughout the day.

The bulk of precipitation will move through southeast Arizona, including Tucson, this evening into early Tuesday. Some areas could even see light showers through early Wednesday.

Rain amounts will range from 0.25" to 0.75" in most valley locations, with snow amounts between 6-12" above 7000'.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect above 5000 feet from 5 p.m. Monday through midnight Wednesday morning.

Seasonal highs today, then dropping to the mid 50s to near 60° Tuesday and Wednesday.

Warmer and dry by Thursday and Friday.
