Breezy southwest winds will pick up Thursday afternoon between 10 and 20 MPH in the valleys, but as much as 30 MPH in some mountain areas.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect, above 5000 feet, from 11 AM to 7 PM. Southwest winds will pick up between 15 and 25 mph, and gust as high as 35 or 40 MPH.

These strong winds combined with low humidity, will bring critical fire weather conditions.

Slightly cooler temps will follow these winds Friday and Saturday, with seasonal highs in the low 90s in Tucson.
